London Landmarks at Night

We started the day at the V&A, where Bharti Kher's striking sculpture of a female figure with antlers stopped us cold and demanded a long, slow look. That evening we walked along the Thames and took in Albert Bridge lit up over the water.

“The sculpture — this big female figure with antlers or branches coming out of her head, holding a thick branch across her waist — is hard to look away from.”
We hit the V&A in the morning and the Bharti Kher exhibition was the first thing that stopped us in our tracks. The sculpture — this big female figure with antlers or branches coming out of her head, holding a thick branch across her waist — is hard to look away from. Spent a good chunk of time just walking around it. Later that evening we ended up along the Thames near Albert Bridge, which was all lit up and reflecting off the water. A nice way to finish the day in South Kensington.

V&A Museum
The V&A holds over 2.8 million objects spanning 5,000 years, but its building itself is part of the collection — the café is the world's first museum restaurant, opened in 1857.
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
