
Tangy tasty salmon filets with sriracha sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon filets
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili lime seasoning (like Tajin)
- 1/4 ~ 1/2 tsp chili or cayenne
- 1 TBS olive oil to fry the filets
- sauce:
- 4 TBS mayo
- 1 TBS sriracha
- 1 TBS soy sauce
- 1 TBS rice vinegar
- 1 TSP honey
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- Avocado salsa side:
- 1 1/2 avocados, cubed
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 4 TBS chopped cilantro or parsley
- 1 TBS finely chopped mint
- juice of 1 large lime
- salt
Directions
- 1For the salmon:
- 21. Pat dry the filets. season with the salt and pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Tajin and a bit of the cayenne pepper.
- 32. Heat a pan over medium heat, add the olive oil and swirl the pan to coat.
- 43. Add the filets, skin side down.
- 54. Cook the salmon for 3~4 minutes to get golden, crispy skin. Once the edges start to turn opaque, flip it over and cook for another 3~4 minutes or until cooked through.
- 6For the sauce:
- 7Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and pour on the salmon or serve on the side.
- 8For the avocado salsa:
- 9Combine the ingredients and serve with the salmon.
Notes
- I never used cilantro in this recipe and parsley is as great.
